“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” — Thomas Campbell
Our students from Grades 5 to 9 embraced the vibrant Mexican festival Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) — a celebration that beautifully intertwines remembrance with the joy of life. With colour, creativity, and cultural curiosity, they honoured the memories of loved ones while exploring the deeper meaning behind this beautiful tradition.
From designing colourful calavera masks and creating thoughtful ofrendas to engaging in lively debates and presenting creative visuals on La historia del Día de los Muertos, students brought the spirit of the festival alive through art, ideas, and imagination.
Through creativity and reflection, our students discovered that true celebration lies not only in rituals but in cherishing memories, honouring life, and finding joy in remembrance.
