Grade IX Value of the Month Activity

“Can a single flame change a life? Our learners believe so.”

The Light of Learning came alive through a reflective and creative activity inspired by 'How I Taught My Grandmother to Read', undertaken by the students of Grade IX. Learners expressed the journey of literacy through glowing diyas and candles, symbolising knowledge as a guiding force that illuminates human potential.

Within each flame, values such as determination, courage, and dedication were thoughtfully represented, highlighting how persistence turns challenges into opportunities for growth.

Anchored in the Value of the Month, Persistence, the activity encouraged empathy, reflection, and a deeper appreciation of lifelong learning. It also echoed the school’s 3C Model; Character, Competency, and Careerism- reminding us that education shapes both mind and identity.

A powerful learning emerged: when persistence meets purpose, even the smallest flame can illuminate the darkest path.
