The Magic Box activity was conducted to help Grade 1 learners explore the importance of light in a fun and engaging way. The teacher showed a closed box with small objects inside. When the box was kept in the dark, students could not see what was inside. As soon as light was allowed into the box, the children excitedly identified the objects.
Through this hands-on experience, students discovered that light helps us see things clearly. The activity encouraged curiosity, observation, and questioning. Learners shared their ideas and concluded that light is essential in our daily life — at home, in school, and everywhere around us.
The session promoted active participation, critical thinking, and joyful learning, making science meaningful for young minds.
