“Learning is a constant process of discovery—a process without end.”
This idea came alive as Grade 2 students enthusiastically participated in hands-on science experiments that made key concepts tangible.
In one activity, students explored capillary action by observing how water travels through paper towels. As they watched coloured water move and mix, students discovered how liquids travel through absorbent materials and deepened their understanding of primary and secondary colors. This experiment nurtured scientific curiosity, patience and teamwork while offering a visually stimulating and memorable learning experience.
In another exciting activity, students created homemade lava lamps using everyday household items like oil, water, food colouring, and effervescent tablets. This fun-filled task introduced the concepts of liquid density and chemical reactions in an accessible way. As bubbles danced and colors swirled, students gained a foundational understanding of how different substances interact.
